You will regret that you can now hear a flea fart at 100 yards. :-D In other words--congrats on your new ears. Ill probably be joining you on having some in a few due to a bad fist fight I had with one of my brothers back in 1986. He did damage to my hearing-I gave him a broken nose. Dunno recall what the fight was all about?

My hearing was damaged by viral meningitis - twice.

Get yourself some Phonak's...

Congrats to Walkin' Jack. I have advocated {numerous times} on this Forum for folks to get Phonak's with the full Blue Tooth capability.... Welcome to my world. After years of wearing Siemens, which are junk on a good day and they don't have many good days, I finally convinced the VA to put me into a Phonak product.

The difference is day and night. After two years my Phonak's are hands down the most reliable, effective hearing aids I have ever worn {I'm talking 20+ years here}.

I still live day to day with the ultimate irony that my mother lied to me for years....

She kept telling me I would go blind.

My hearing was damaged by viral meningitis - twice.

He did-and pretty hard at that. He hit my left ear harder than the right damaging something in the ear. My left ear is getting harder to get sound into it-or legible sound. My right is better-maybe by half. Anyway, after he did that, I punched him in the nose as hard as I could and broke it-not intending on breaking it-but wanting him to be taught a lesson. My dad broke it up on threats of pain to the both of us.

I got mine from the VA. They have the bluetooth and all. Getting them was one of the best things I ever done for myself. I had no idea what all I was missing. Spent the first couple weeks just listening to what I'd been missing. I had forgotten simple things like birds singing and bugs buzzing.... Plus it doesn't hurt that they give me a little check for it every month.
