I contacted Dian Finestine

Lets hope the Supreme Court is not Corrupted.....But if a president can propose to Violate the Second Ammendment, maybe they can be too. I just hope they are honorable men. Next...they are going to have to find Oathbreakers to enforce the uncosntitutional laws they pass.....and they are going to be up against Oathkeepers that take this Oath serious. many Sheriffs, police and military will honor the Oath and the sleeping Giant are the Veterens that have served and still believe in the Oath we took and will not accept our freedom being trampled and out Constitution being ripped apart. This passing of unconstitutional laws that infringe on our second amendment rights will be opposed by men that are not willing to roll over and give up the freedom that too many good men have already paid for.

I honor you cousin that paid the ultimate price and all the men that serve this Country plus our Leo's and Sheriffs and the elected officals that do understand and honor the Oath they took. The honorable men that serve will honor the Oath they took as will many of us that have served and are benifiting from the freedom that men like your cousin paid for. We must always remember the Oath we took and that this Country has always stood for Liberty and Justice for all...and we will not stand down and watch our Constitution and Bill of Rights be trashed. Thank you for your stand....there are a lot of us with you.

The murder rate in the USA is 4 murders per 100,000 population. I agree that is too high but it is half of what it was 20 years ago and less than 1% were committed with rifles. Now 2012 was a particularly bad year for mass murder but the mass murder rate is 1.8 per 10,000,000 (ten million)population. That does not rise to the level of a crisis despite what they are trying to sell. They can't let a good crisis go to waste and where no crisis exists...well they will just create one.

Montana, reportedly the most heavily armed state has a murder rate that is 1/2 the national average in 2011 and of those 28 murders only 7 involved firearms of any description. My neighboring city of New Orleans has the highest murder rate in the world, a whopping 68/100,000 but you don't hear anyone talking about that because Louisiana is slightly less than average in terms of gun ownership.

As for the senator's interpretation of the second ammednment and supreme court ruling she is failing to read the entire judgement that states that firearms commonly held by citizens can not be restricted.

When ever a law abiding citizen tries to protect our second ammednment rights the anti gun zealots always throw up statements that we should not have bazookas and RPGs, which are arms that have been heavily regulated and generally restricted for more than 80 years. Unfortunately no one sees fit to correct such statements.
Let's face it we are loosing the war of words because the gun haters have been allowed to put out all kinds of misinformation without being checked. The average reactionary ill informed citizen believes that large cap magazines equals machine guns. Last week on one of the talking head news shows an organizer of a gun buy back in California stated that they bought back two RPGs which showed that we definitely needed some gun control. Of course no one was there to counter that statement.

Ok, so I decided to do more. I sent Senator Feinstein an email protesting her agenda & pointing out that "shall not be infringed" means exactly what it says, etc. I quickly received an auto reply saying that she does not respond to out of state contacts, you must have a CA postal address. Well, I don't want to hear from her that badly, as in not a chance I would ever consider moving there. So, there you have it. She can file legislation that infringes the rights of people in all 50 states, but has no obligation to respond to 49 of them.
It used to be that senators were not elected but were appointed by the states they represented primarily to protect states rights and as part of the checks and balances between the elected congress, the states and the federal government. All that changed in 1913 with first the 16th ammendment that allowed the federal government to get its funding directly from the citizen via income tax and shut the state out of the loop. Then they passed the 17th ammendment that took the authority away from the state legislature to appoint senators and made them elected by popular vote. No longer would they do the bidding of the state as a whole and answer to the state legislature but rather pander to the whims of the electorate. Now instead of being representatives of their respective states they are agents of the all powerful federal government. Thank you, Woodrow Wilson.

I tried contacting her once, NEVER DOING IT AGAIN! I must have written about 3 pages worth okay, but first i put where i live(texas), write my never ending story (which took about an hour) and finally send it. So i wait for a response, 10 minutes later i get an email saying, thank you for contacting my office, i am sorry but we are not taking letters from out of state at the moment due to a large volume. Please rewrite your letter and address it from California...-_- almost tossed my computer across the room..
