I think I have done it just right. Just wish I could shoot it without having to worry when I can buy more ammo.

Well one things for sure........... you wont run out of places to grip it!

Love the color!
haha i like having options. truthfully i am too lazy to take the afg2 off. I think my hand is too big, it isn't very comfortable to me. And thanks. I got the OD Green when it first came out and it
was a special edition.

The green guns were coated green specifically for Academy Sports (I also have one) but I wouldn't really call them special editions. If anything, the MOE versions would be the special editions, or maybe the Performance Center versions.

Too pretty

Historically when dictators confiscate nice weapons they then give them to other dictators as presents.

Do not make it too pretty.

And the accuracy???
Accuracy is outstanding. I use the bipod for long range, and take it off if I am plinking with the irons. I actually get bored quickly because it is so accurate. Sporting clays has my attention, with that stoeger m3500 in the picture.

I agree with you. I say special editions just because they were new and not plentiful at the time. They came with the threaded barrel too, so it was a slight upgrade.

Pretty cool.
I will tell you this.......as an old Vietnam Veteran......I just took a Romanian AK with Tapco trigger group and put a Picatiny and red-dot on it. Nothing else. Went to the range and scared the hell out of myself.
You did a nice job on your rifle.

If it doesn't have wood it's ugly. Just another plastic pig. ;)

I like a dare as much as anyone but I won't tell you she is not beautiful. As when dealing with any lady, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I prefer my lady slimmer than that... not skinny but not so heavy. I like a little meat on her bones but still want to see her natural curves & angles. I also prefer my lady not so dolled up. IMO too much makeup takes away from the natural beauty provided by the creator. When I was growing up, I always heard black was beautiful & now I fully understand that comment.

The analogy between guns & ladies is rather interesting. They are both beautiful & both can be dangerous, even deadly when mishandled. They both need to be handled with loving attention & need to be taken out often.

There is one area where all similarities vanish. With my gun, when needed, I can quiet her down. With my wife of 34 years, I'm sure I'd be slapped down if I wore my hearing protection when she wants to chat. With my gun, soon I'll be able to thread on a suppressor. Don't see that happening with the wife. :D

I have learned after 31 YOM that i can tune her out w/o the use of hearing protection. just say 'uh, and yeah' a lot.

Time to move the target out farther... :D

Be careful "yeah" can be expensive trust me.......LOL

QFT. I have many overpriced purses in our closet to attest to that.

On topic. Pretty rifle, too many grips, but over all a great rifle.

That's definatly a nice looking rig! I've often thought about settin one up similar to that...minus the forehandle. Anything that gets people lookin over and sayin "check that out" when you're out shootin is a beauty in it's own way!

Rysara.
Just do what i do when the wifey adds another annoying high dollar purse to the collection. Wait till she takes off for the day, grab an older one on your way to the shooting range and have some fun. Great substitute to a normal target.

I think that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and each of us has different eyes. That said, I do like barrel/suppressor system and the color. But as I posted a week or so ago, I'm in a de-contenting phase and took my 15-22 back down to a bare fore-stock to change my way of driving the gun. But the gnarly rails and my aging joints drove me to improvise something else so I took my vertical forward handgrip and made it a horizontal forward hand grip so I could extend my forefinger out straight as an aiming aid. Not wanting to give up my targeting laser (it's GREEN fer gosh sakes!), I tried to mount it somewhere around the thing but found the switch wasn't easily accessed. After some study I have reverse-mounted the grip with the laser directly in front of it so I can use the laser switch with my thumb (slide left for on) and guide the gun with my index finger point. So far it seems to work but I have more practice to do with the system. No bipod with the red-dot sight or tac-light (it will go down the hall with my 1911 in the other hand if necessary). I'm liking the feel of this operation system and how natural it is to follow the pointing finger. Less sometimes is more, just like the man said!

Looks good, much better setup than mine (although I'm still working on it).

I'm having a problem figuring out the bottom pic (with the bipod attached). The mag is what the rifle is resting on, although your bipod seems to be extended at regular length. With my bipod extended, even at it's shortest length, the mag sits even with the floor. Can't understand why the grip is raised so far off the floor (or whatever it's on).

I like it! Which barrel shroud is that? I may have to get one.
