We seem to be finally coming out of the worst part of COVID19. At least that's what I'm seeing in my area. Places are starting to open up to having customers inside.

What I don't understand is that my food market has recently decided to require that everyone (customer or employee) must wear a mask to enter the building. During the worst times it was a matter of choice as long as social distancing was maintained.

A restaurant can now open up to 50% capacity with no mask required but maintaining the 6ft separation of customers. My market which is probably a 1000 times bigger requires the mask as well as separation.

Apparently they do it because they can without any thought behind it. I'm out of a few items. The squirrels will have to fend for themselves. I still have plenty of food to last a month or two. I was looking back at what I've been spending on food for just myself. I actually believe keeping me out of the market will save me money in the long run. I've missed the occasional takeout from Burger King or KFC.

I don't know, maybe it's because I'm an old guy but we have been thru Flu epidemics before before. I can remember the Asian Flu, Hong Kong flu, & many others. Sure the were deaths than but in proportion with the population now. I caught one in 1959 that put me out of work for 9 days. Hell, I'm still here. I believe this was a put up job trying to rig the next election. Just my 2 cents.

I don't get what you don't get.
Businesses can do whatever the hell they want as long as it doesn't circumvent the minimum restrictions set by state, county and local government in that order.
You're the one who has a choice in the matter.

I don't agree with the premise but I thought the following analogy was funny.
The curve is flattening we can ease restrictions = The parachute has slowed our descent, we can take it off now.

I believe this was a put up job trying to rig the next election. Just my 2 cents.

That is an interesting thought. Please tell me how did we get Europe and now Brazil to go along with this fiction solely to influence our election. Man, someone must really have some serious world wide influence to get all those other countries to go along with the quarantines and isolation and report all those deaths.

Think about it

And now we are really off.

Its something us people in Montana say we we talk about conspiracy theories. :D

Who declared that the worst is over?. Just because some places are opening somewhat, there is still lots of cases and deaths. I see no curve or flattening of a curve. But of course all that data is fake. Now there is some "talk" that it is indeed airborne and can float around not just from cough or sneeze droplets.

Just like no concealed carry signs, private business can do what they want.

Or you could..............

As far as the restaurants
not requiring a mask how do you eat with one on?

Or you could be like the lady in one of the big box stores who had a mask on, but she cut out an opening for her nose and mouth, completely exposing both, because "it's easier to breathe"

I guess I don't see the big deal here. We keep a couple of masks in each car and slip them on when we go into a store or other business, whether we're required to or not. It's hardly even a minor inconvenience. I don't know if it helps or not, but I doubt it hurts, so I don't get my knickers in a bunch over it.

I have a couple of medical appointments coming up and have been told I'll need a Kungflu test before I come in.
This is new since I've already been to those places recently.

If businesses could do whatever the hell they want as long as it doesn't circumvent the minimum restrictions why haven't a lot of them opened sooner? It's probably because our elected officials don't think we are capable of making decisions for ourselves.

And Yes, I do have a choice in the matter and I made it. It seems you stopped reading my post once you saw something you could poke a stick at. Read the last paragraph if you haven't already done so.

I made a point and I made my choice but apparently it's still not good enough for some of you.

I’ve been masking up and going in,
My Dau has been getting home delivery.
I wear a stylish mask directly from Paris.
Paris, Texas that is.
OK. I made it myself and it’s butt ugly.
Hang in, roll with the flow and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I hope it’s not a train coming this way!

You don’t have to get it. Privately owned businesses can set their own rules. You have a choice. Nobody is taking that choice from you.

You're right. I don't have to get it. That doesn't mean I can't ponder why. It's what our species does. We question things. Need I point you to the many rants made in the Forum?

Here I will explain it to you.

It is all a Hoax. It is a world wide Hoax. You would think a world wide Hoax staged just to influence (try to change) an American election and to deprive Americans of their rights would be difficult (hard). But, after convincing most people the Earth is round and that the moon landing was real, and then stage 9/11 this virus thing was easy. I have been arguing with you because, I am a member of the deep cover world wide Hoax society. My job is to work at convincing those like yourself that are to intelligent (smart) to be hoodwinked (tricked or fooled) by the Hoax.

We only want people to wear masks so that we know which ones we have accomplished (completed) our brain washing.

Humor, its a species thing. This is an elaborate (very detailed) joke

It’s simple. They are easing the restrictions. There will be more contact between people. If they don’t wear masks as well as other precautions. Then the second wave will be worse than the first.

The super market is requiring everyone to wear masks to protect their workers.

Old 44... exactly the Asian Flu in 1957 killed 116000 probably more, that is over 225000 in todays numbers.

The Hong Kong Flu in 1968 killed 100000 plus.

There were no shutdowns and life went on.

I will say that I'm very empathetic to all that have been affected by COV19. It hit hard and fast and sadly it especially impacted our older generations.

Best Regards,

Kobsw

There's the main problem right there. :) I tried eating out with a mask on and it doesn't work. :p After that, I had to throw away the mask and get a new one. :(

Fortunately, those fried clams were worth it! :D
