I like single action revolvers of the Colt variety but am not much inclined toward the Bisley model. I'm also not a huge fan of fancy guns. But I saw this one the other day and it just sort of leaped out at me, begging me to take it home. It just struck me. It's a Cimarron Colt 45 Bisley. Color cased (probably chemical, I don't know) and engraved, sort of. The engraving is deeper that the usual laser engraving but not like chisel cut either. I suppose done with a laser, then hand chased a bit. The grips are Tru Ivory. Whatever, the action is excellent, it's a fine shooter and the price was right. The Bisley is definitely an acquired taste. I've been shooting single action Colts for 60 years but I'm not sure I'm ready yet to come over to the Bisley for good. Anyway, see what you think.

The engraving looks good to my untrained eyes.
Certainly some can critique the work. Not I.
I’ve had a couple of Cimarrons. The fit of metal
and wood is very good. Currently I have a
.357 mag on black powder frame. I haven’t had a Bisley.

I know the Bisley might look odd, but in my hand it balances much better than the standard SAA grip.

I had a Bisley Model 4 3/4" U.S. Patent Firearms S.A.A. revolver for a few years just prior to the factory going out of business. It was in .45 LC and I really liked that pistol and the way it felt in my hand. I only shot it once as I didn't want anything to happen to it and it became a safe queen which just goes against my grain. I ended up selling it for a bit more than I paid for it to a collector and wish now I would have kept that pistol just for its scarcity and uniqueness. The USFA pistols were very well made in my estimation and every time I think of my Bisley I feel bad for selling it off. It did pretty good on paper too for only putting 12 rounds thru it. Sometimes I do dumb things.

Awesome +10 !

Mow ... you just need a Bar-B-Que to attend ...

That rig can get by on looks alone ... but I bet it can shoot !
