O/K I got it .I'll start with the markings on the left side.On the bbl. the .45 AR SMITH & WESSON next BV circled w/crown,BP circled w/crown,NP circled w/crown. Next on the frame in front of the cylinder is NOT ENGLISH MAKE over BV circled w/crown next to that is the crossed pennants. Each chamber is marked BP circled w/crown,The frame above the grip medalion is a broad arrow marked over a crown over 119 over letter E over II. In front to the left of the medalion are the crossed swords with a letter D on the left and a letter B on the right with # 2 under it. On the right side is the S&W logo and on the frame in front of the cylinder are the point to point broad arrows. As soon as my camera is charged I'll post pictures. THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THE HELP !!!!

Moondog yes the .45 acp on moon clips seam to just slip right in fine and rotate the cylinder with no drag at all. I'm going to try to go to my club today and fire off a few round's .
Handejector thanks for the info I think I'm going to get this one lettered.

Very nice, shoot lead bullets in the 250-270 grain range sized to .454-455" out of it at low velocity,@ 650-720 fps preferably with .45 Auto-Rim brass and it may surprise you how accurate it is.

Typical British contract gun. More approval stampings than bluing.

All of these were made 1916-1918.

Should be fun to play with as a shooter.

Don't hot rod any hand loads for it.

Have serial 21893

Do these guns have any value other than great shooters?

like Saxonpig said.. no hot loads.... they do nasty things to these older guns.. as for value.. pretty much just a shooter, the collector value was distroyed when it was rechambered..
but still they are nice to shoot, the .45 acp or the auto-rim in that big old "N" frame are nothing but pleasent to shoot..

I take my 1914 t-lock that also in .45ar out once in a while...always put's a smile on my face.. but remember.. light loads only....
