I agree with getting involved and speaking up, but rather than get fired, it would be a lot better the girl be trained to handle customers in the proper manner. She's young and can learn, which in a small way will make the world a little better. If she refuses the change her attitude, then fire her.

Feeling ashamed I lost my job due to recession.

The three kids went for there doctors visits. The first thing out of the doctors mouths is are the kids eating right? Nurse kratchet do a blood test right away. The nerve like telling me my kids weren't eating right. If I ate steak they ate steak we didn't skimp at the table. A jar of canned sauce, a pound of chop meat, pound of ziti, some homemade garlic bread that was a full belly meal for everyone. Feeding the kids was number one.

My point is I never ever reached a low like that again. I lived on $10k that year. The local grocery store had marked down meats. We lived off of that.
Steaks, roast beef, chicken, sausage. The garden provided the rest.

Plan survival. Help the older people.

You did the right thing.Karma will catch up with the girl if she doesn't grow the heck up. Your selfless actions and keeping collected during the situation reflects upon the very reason I joined this forum. Proper attitude that good must always prevail over evil, no matter the size of the situation. We must hope when we are in a hapless state someone of character will man up and lend a hand. Reason enough to join the Lodge and Shrine. There are some people who are trying but could use a little help but are too proud to ask.

Thanks to everyone that replied! I never intended this post to get so many Likes! Never intended it to get so many replies! It was just my way to vent. And like I stated, I could have probably handled it better? I know I'm NOT politically correct.

I just got really really upset that day seeing that lady standing there shaking and digging in her purse for change. And the cashier being, what I thought was rude and rushing her. Heck, I probably had $3.40 in change in my truck? That's also part of what bothered me. I also always keep a few $1 bills in my console to give homeless people, young or old. And a ton of change for the Drive Through's.

I now only have one Aunt left that is 79 almost 80 years old, everyone else is gone and I love her so much. And it would break my heart for her to get treated that way. And I guess that's also why I took it personal?

I was just raised to respect the elderly. And I have learned allot from many older people and even younger people over the years. I have some GREAT stories about my older bud's at the Gun Shows. They've taught me allot and I respect that. I've been going to this areas Gun Shows since I was 17 and I'm now 60! Here in Nashville, Germantown Tn, Knoxville ETC. And the older guys are actually a BLAST to be around. Funny as HECK! And I have also learned allot from older guys in the car business for the over 35+ years, that I've been it. I wouldn't be were I'm at today, if it wasn't for their knowledge and HELP. I listened and learned. I would have gotten burned so many times at both Gun Shows and Auto Auctions, if it was for the help and guidance of older males and females!!!

I'm going to let the Rant fall were it may. But if you see anyone at anytime that could use your help or knowledge, it don't matter if their young or old, Please Do So! Do it from your heart. And Not to impress anyone, but yourself! And if we don't teach the young'uns to respect the elders, who will???
