In Texas a man was breaking into a homeowners garage when he was caught by the homeowner. They started to fight and the burglar pulled a .45 and got a shot off. The homeowner took the gun from him and 'held' him until the police got there. The mug shot was hilarious. The perp looked like he had been bare knuckled by George Foreman and didn't look happy like those smirking/grinning mug shots that some people give.. I guess that's a warning for those who want to misbehave in Texas.

Years ago I knew a guy who went up against 2 armed homies. He had recently immigrated from a warn torn country in eastern Europe and worked construction. Not making a lot of money he lived in a bad erea. One day he came home from work and 2 minutes later some local gangbangers kicked his door in and demanded money. Long story short he almost beat them to death with a crow bar. It was bad enough that he was take to court. The 2 perps were wheeled in. The judge initially thought the he was the perp. After explaining what happened the judge dropped all charges

You guys are so hard-hearted. I'm sure his mother could tell us what a great guy he is. She may even have his 8th grade graduation picture.

Every now & then, karma catches up with a deserving soul, and things are made a little more "even". Seeing this has made my day; not because the perp was injured, but because he definitely got what he deserved.

wonder if the home owner is left hand ?? the BG's right eye looks like he got hit with a left hook ..
Nope, I'd say he was most certainly orthodox stance. You might be right about it being a left hook though. But id venture to say that was the "lead" left hook from a proficient boxer/striker. That or a kick or knee to it. But there was more than one shot that gave him his shrek like appearance. I say this as the guys face tells a story of a colossal whooping and then the fact that they were engaged in mutual combat, long enough for the perp to get tired of having his head used as a heavy bag and pull out a gun. This wasn't done by an amateur. You can see that he focused his strikes on All of the sweet spots of the head. Both eyes, mouth and nose. Also the big red mark on the left side of his face, almost looks like the mark of a well placed knee.

Either way, go homeowner!

Man arrested after homeowner thwarts burglary - KLTV.com - Tyler, Longview, Jacksonville |ETX News

Kevin Michael Gonzales

Gee, looks a bit like the N.K. dictator.

I'm sure they have a website but, try KZTV 10 in Corpus Christi. Every Friday evening, they do a ''who's been sippin the suds'' segment on all those convicted of DWI etc every week. Many you see look like this Gonzales character. I'm sure they have a link where you can look at mugshots.

This has to be some kind of record: he brought a gun to a fist fight AND LOST!

I'm glad the homeowner came out uninjured. It could have easily gone the other way if the hapless criminal had luck on his side. Be very aware of what you are getting yourself into.

Good for the homeowner and I like these stories with a happy ending like this.

The subdivision I used to live in was built in the 50s and I knew some of the original owners as I was real involved in our block club which was effective BTW.
One of the old timers told me in 50s or 60s they had reports of a peeking Tom that went on for months and not getting caught. Seems the men in the neighborhood got sick and tired and several laid out for him one night. They did manage to catch him in the act even and called the police to come get him. He must have tried to get away as he was beat up pretty bad and a couple broken bones even. These guys were mainly WWII and Korea Vets as well.
