I have to be more tolerant

I have a conservative niece and two who are as liberal as they make. We enjoy each other, politics is never discussed.
Several years back the two nieces mother was having surgery and the mothers two sisters were setting close to me and giving one of our Presidents hell. I kept my mouth shut for about three hours but I came close to losing it.
My wife had three sisters and three brothers and all were pretty liberal. The older brother finally reformed. I will give two of the brothers credit for at least owning firearms.

tolerants is what we all need to be, not just in politics, in all human interaction.

I haven't gone to see the new Midway; not because of who is starring in it but rather because I figured they would screw it up and at best it wouldn't be any better than the 70's version. And from what I have read, this holds true. And I know that most of the Hollywood bunch are flaming libs, but there are only a few that are on my "Do Not Watch" list. Hanoi Jane is one and Liam Neeson is another. Fonda because she should have been tried as a traitor and Neeson because he is such a flaming hypocrite about guns. If those idiots were smart, they would keep their traps shut. My Mom used to have a sign in her house that went like this: Better to be silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Personally I don't give a hoot what an actor/actress or athlete has to say about politics or life in general, any more than they would care about mine. I can watch a ball game or a movie and enjoy it and not care about their other interests or opinions. Like most here I have family and friends that don't look at life as conservative as I do, we have different opinions on a number of things. Still love them. There are a lot of very good folks on both sides of the fence. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

So should the more liberal ones verbally abuse the more
conservative members, or should the more conservative
members verbally smash at the more liberal members?

What started this thread was a very good member chiding
his sister yet he said he loves her, the same love she
expressed for him.

Face it, the world is full of crazy brothers, sisters and uncles
and they are us, especially on this Forum.

It's a tactic where you are browbeaten that patriotism, religious beliefs and freedom are no longer relevant so you have to give in to "progressive" thinkers.

I will not comply.
