I just love Ann Coulter!

On Hannity last night , she was asked what's wrong with mag limits , or a six shot revolver for home defense like the woman in Georgia used.

She replied that yes , it did work because she hit him 5 outta 6 times , pretty good , BUT , the woman now had an empty gun , the perp was NOT permanantly stopped , he fled the house and got into his car and attempted to drive away.
If she did not hit him 5 out of 6 , or there were more than 1 intruder , and home invasions usually involve more than 1 invader , she and her kids would probably be dead. And a revolver is not easy to reload for a non-active shooter under stress.

Hannity said that was the most intelligent and valid response he's heard yet.

She's a very smart and fairly attractive woman, but way too bony for me. If she'd put on about 25-30 pounds , she'd be a knockout.

I see the problem is the media. Old Karl Marx wasn't right when he said that religion is the opiate of the masses - it's the media.

The pity is that the masses lack the understanding that the media isn't there to inform them in a non-biased manner. The media is trying to sell advertising time/space, so they have a vested interest in getting as many viewers as possible. Of course the best way to pique people's interest is through sensationalism.

Then we have idiots like Piers Morgan telling us that to worry about a government becoming tyrannical is nonsense. The attitude appears to be that "it can't happen here."

Why can't it? The prerequisite for a dictatorship is a pacified population. I'd bet money the citizens of Nazi Germany, Russia, Italy, Cambodia, etc. all had the same level of denial when their dictators came to power.

What people don't seem to get is that even if Obama doesn't attempt further abuses of power during the next four years, he will have set the stage for future governments to do so.

The bottom line, at least from my perspective, is that if you haven't written your political representatives already, now is the time to do so. Once our freedoms are lost, we won't be getting them back.

I dunno? Shouldn't a double tap have taken him out! And how does Ann know if the women didn't have a speed strip or speed-loader? From hearing the tape she didn't have much training and under a lot of duress. The husband sounded like an idiot saying shoot him shoot him again, again, again. I'm Just saying? I would have covered up the phone to 911 so they couldn't hear me coaching her. Why didn't she call 911 first? I'm glade though she saved herself and kids because this guy was going for her or the kids or both. He wasn't there to steal, which is the scary thing about the whole incident.

Gotta chuckle out that. I like Ann too but for different reasons then some of you fellas do. Ann is very witty and is unafraid and very skilled at putting her thoughts into words. Ann goes to speak at universities where she is not welcome by angry leftists. They talk of rights and freedom of speech at these universities but apparently they only mean "same speech". They only tolerate speech as long as it is the same as theirs. They shout people down that say things they don't agree with like Ann Coulter and call her intolerent. That's quite the conundrum they have there, they call Ann intolerent but shout her down in the same breath.

your point of view or opinion differentiates from theirs you
are suddenly cast as 1. a bigot or racist 2. intolerant of others

Even though it is in vogue to bash lawyers and lump them all together I have found exactly the opposite of that. It's funny, even though bashing lawyers is the thing to do, if you really dig into it you will probably find just as high of an occurrence, if not more, of crooked/slimy cops, teachers, construction workers, dock workers, farmers, ranchers, soldiers, etc., etc., etc. By the way, in my list there, I have fulfilled five of those professions myself. I have found more slime in the other 4 than in the lawyers I know.

I completely agree with the above statement. I place the lions share of blame for most of our woes on the Media. They are supposed to be our watch dog of government tyrany, the protector of our rights and instead they have become just the opposite -at least the majority of the news companies.

It's pretty easy to armchair quarterback after the fact, especially when it's not your loved one facing the home invader.under the circumstances the gal handled the situation pretty well, so did her husband. You have to wonder if the perp was on something to take 5 hits and still be able to flee.

I emailed the Sheriff in GA , asking for info on what ammo the woman used but got no response. So nobody knows. Coulda been 148gr wadcutters , coulda been those anemic 130gr FMJs , coulda been the infamous 'widowmaker' 158gr RN lead which were notoriously ineffective.
