I THINK I saw a couple at the last gun show here-but didnt take notice as its somehting I THOUGHT was just somekind of plastic replacement part for one of those """"""""""Tactical Rifles."""""""""""

Anyway,a local news station here in CC--Channel six to be exact--had their Investigative Reporter do a couple segments on one. These things you add to your rifle and will make it fire like a machine gun because each time the trigger is pulled??? the stock bumps the rest of the rifle making it fire automatically. Estimated rate of fire on the rifle used was six hundred rounds a minute or thirty rounds in three point one seconds. Im impressed.

Our County Sheriff-Jim Kaelin--is using common sense and said these things arent a danger to the community at large and he has lost way more officers due to car accidents than to gun fire. He has zero problems with these being owned and used.

Anyway,I wonder if these are the ""new wave"" ideas for the Hellfire Trigger System--and yes--I know the trigger system is a much different bird--I use to have one for my Tec nine.

I wonder how much these things cost? If not too terribly high? I might buy one for a Christmas gift for my brother--who bought an AR a year or so ago.

They used to be over $200; lately another vendor showed up on the scene with $99 price tag, original vendor is now suing newcomer :)

Slide fire $299.00

Bump Fire $99.00

Google either one. I'm going to order a bump fire in the next week. Works the same.

I have heard that Slide-Fire has brought a law suit against Bump-Fire but have not seen anything showing that.

Slide Fire Stock (Hickock45)

In a nutshell, it's a legal way to get around machine gun paperwork and restrictions. It's the perfect tool for a spree killer. It's just a matter of time before one is used that way.

That reminds me of the guy on another board that stated, authoritatively, that the ONLY reason to have a short-barreled-shotgun was to murder a roomful of people.

If it's just "a legal way to get around machine gun paperwork", and it's "the perfect tool for a spree killer", does that mean that everyone that has a machine gun is a spree killer wannabe?

Ringo, Midway has the Slide Fire for $359.00. I don't know where Slim found one that cheap($299.00). I have no earthly need of one, but Lord help me, I'm beginning to think I want one!

Un-freakin'-believable. :(

Thanks for letting us know this is out there, Ringo. Like you, I must be behind the times; I had no idea.

I too am amazed that this has not already been part of some violent illegal incident, and I am sure it's only a matter of time until there'll be one that is gonna be all over the news, to the detriment of us all.

I gotta draw my own line on this one. Not good. Not good at all....

That was my first impression too--when I saw the news stories on it some days ago. Thankfully--we have a good and wise County Sherriff here too. He looks at these as a novelty item and has o probs with us peons having them. I know soon--some idiot will mess this up for us--like they have done ::at least locally::: for those who wish to buy that explosive.

Having tried all 3 stocks on both AR & AK, I can attest that they all work with very little practice or technique. Just remember to push forward on the gun with your off-gun hand. The start/stop is all done with your trigger finger. Really quite amazing and simple.

Doyou all think one of these would work on one of those ATI ""STG-fourty-fours?"" Thats the closest thing I have to an AR-type rifle. Id love to see rifle go through a brick of twenty-two--in a minute. :D

Not a STG44, but check the technique:

An ammo can full of rounds, and some time practicing will have you ripping up the countryside, no problem!

Thats fantastic. Can you imagine if the GIs in WWII/Korea-knew that trick. I may try that with my ATI piece sometime. Im also going to get the MP-fourty version too sometime this year. I found a local source that gets them.
