I think I did Good

Sure sounds good to me TC. $300 sounds cheap to me after all the high prices we're used to seeing today.

Good price. Those are generally in the 400-475 range around here if I remember correctly with the 2 3/4" barrel ones being the highest, 6" the lowest.

I've owned a couple of them over the years, including one with the 2 3/4" barrel. When Ruger stopped making the Speed/Security-Six's, I more or less lost interest in Rugers revolvers.

Seems like you grabbed a good deal! ;) Bought one with a 4" barrel in really nice condition last year and paid $400. For it. Those things are becoming scarce around these parts.
Enjoy! ......;)

Well I do not think you did good, you did great! The "Six" line of revolvers are a good one.

Yep you got an excellent deal at $300 for sure. Especially if it is in very good condition all over. 2 3/4 barrel is not all that common a find either in a security six.
I sure would like to see pics of it.

I bought a 95% 4" stainless (1979) for 304 bucks out the door last fall. The deal still makes me giggle. It's among my favorite revolvers.

You did great! You'll love it.
