It does look a bit odd with the hammer shroud and little grips, but ugly ?

I've always been a fan of the humpbacks, they are my favorite j frames. Don't need them to be pretty, I find function pretty!

They grow on you, or they did me. A 638 was my first carry gun, wearing a set of Barimi Hip Grips. NOW you're talking about Ugly! But they worked for me. That was before I had a digital camera at my disposal. But trust me, much worse that that beautiful 649. I like it mucho grande. (no espanol)

I'm a Centennial guy, but my next choice would be a 649. I don't find them ugly at all. Like the concealed-hammer guns, they just look businesslike and designed for what they do.

Have a nickle one...story goes was a pimp's gar before he was relieved of same. I know, buy the gun, not the story, but..... and it's shoots well and looks sporty in a Galco shoulder rig!!!!
