I was sad when Cheaper Than Dirt stopped selling guns.

But now I'm sad because they ARE selling guns. Their prices are WAY higher than they used to be, and not just on ammo, handguns, and semi-auto rifles. Lever action Rossi rifles that sold for a little over $400 a month ago are now at $550! I went through and checked many different gun prices and they are much higher than other retailers. I understand capitalism and supply & demand, but Buds Gunshop, Academy, and several others aren't raising their prices that much. I'm sure CTD is getting rich right now but they won't be getting rich off me now or anytime in the future.

Yeah Buds is doing LIVE auctions instead of selling them.

I guess not even dirt is cheap any more...

I will not purchase from them again. When I saw they cancelled their sale 2 days in on 30 round PMAGs from $12.00 to not $20 but $60.00 they lost me as a customer. There are local shops that sold their entire inventory without raising their prices one penny. CTD saw an opportunity to line their pockets and jumped on it, which as a free market business owner is their right, but as a customer I will excercise my right to shop else where.

I got a flyer from them last year with 5.56mm ammo on sale. I called same day and was told the price had gone up $20 and they wouldn't honor their flyer. I cancelled the order and haven't been back since.

I was never all that impressed with their prices BEFORE they got like this. IMO the name "cheaper than dirt" is false advertising.

I suspect I am through with buying new guns for quite a while.

I was under the impression that Magpul would punish retailers who sell above MSRP.

CTD is just like any opportunistic retailer that counts on a frenzy to maximize their profits. All very legal and some would say, very American.
Our responsibility is to decide what we consider to be a fair and acceptable or predatory and unacceptable.
I view CTD as taking undue advantage of our situation and will never do business with them again and have told them so. A drop in the bucket perhaps but I feel better for it.

I never thought they were that great a place to buy from before all this panic started. There prices weren't any better than I could find locally or at the shows on many items. Also their shipping charges seemed to be crazy high. I quit buying from CTD a long time ago!

Saw an ad the other day that CTD had new P-Mags...Only $50 each.
Gougers.

I dropped them years back...they show a SALE price then charge a ridiculous shipping charge.

They were nice though way back in the 1990's for their 12 cent a rd , in bulk, Australian 5.56 ammo. NATO spec ammo, shipped in a big brown 2700 rd case...300 rd battlepaks.

They never had a chance to get my business. I checked them out the other day and did comparison with other online retailers and they were much higher. No reason to do business with price gougers like them. If enough people had the same outlook they would either be forced to lower their prices or fold.
