Outstanding photos! As the old saying goes "Why waltz when you can rock & roll?" lol.

I've never dropped the coin for the fun switch but at one time our past member IBSandy had a mini-Uzi w/suppressor & we had some pleasant times with that!!

I just wanna know where did they get all that ammo? I've been looking for a measly brick of .22's for the last ten months!

I'm too old to use the word but I will anyway - awesome!! :D:D

Fun just looking - thanks for sharing the experience.

I like the MG42, but honestly, I would prefer the modernized MG3. I know an MG42 comes with a lot of history, but I just wish I could get one into the country legally, and I wish I could afford to feed it.

Me too. And 8mm used to be cheap. Not so much anymore.

The big Knob Creek machine gun shoot, outside Louisville, is coming up this weekend. I'd love to go, but it's simply not possible. It's always a great time, by all accounts.

great pics. was in that business for some years. they are a real hoot. if you go to vegas, go to one of the ranges that rent them and try one out. better than the slot machines, for all that haven't had the pleasure.

Had the greatest pleasure of firing a silenced H&K MP5. Best fun I have had with something like that. My buddy who was with me at the time had asked where did you disappear to?. After I told him he was kinda put out. Frank

Great pics. I love the MG 42, but give me a Lewis gun, it can shoot 3 times longer than the 42 with the same number of bullets. That's what I call economical.

I think the Hungarians or the Czechs have an almost exact copy called the MG 52???? I have a friend who has one and ill ask about it. Might take a few days though.

Cant find anyone in my area who sells 8mm. I tried so I can let loose a few rounds through my M-98 Mauser sniper rifle. 15 years on and its never "cleared its throat" yet.

+1 who couldn't love between 1,200 and 1,500 rpm. I was gonna rent one here to shoot but only had 1 crate of ammo. I felt it wasn't worth it for one minuet of use.:D and all the loading into a belt.

Nice pictures.

For my lack of proper knowledge on what they are called? I know of a site in Germany that has the original hand-cranked belt loaders. The site gets them in on occasion--maybe a bit dinged up--but usable. Ill see if I can look on their site to see if any are available? I cant post their site because its one of those "By invite only" places. Ill see if they have one and will try to remember to tell you.
