try to follow Springfield's lead and extend the Shield/Bodyguard rebate program another 2 months? Just today, S-A moved their Gear-up program end date to 8/31 (vs 6/30). I imagine that S&W is probably ready to get all of the current rebate checks cut to squelch the noise due to the delay but money talks.

I guess we will know in a few days.

I wouldn't mind the XDS going on super sale too. the rebate for Springfield is an ok deal, but the XDS is no more reliable than the shield (a little worse I think really) and comes with a much higher price tag.
