ID help on a break top please

5 shot break top lemon squeezer
38 S&W caliber
serial # 45xxx

I believe it is a 1st or 2nd model 'New Defender' but may be wrong there....

Don't have any real use for it....Might sell it.
Have 2 boxes Winchester factory ammo; unused Lee carbide die set; possibly 100 new 38 S&W factory brass if I can find them.

Comments? I could send photos to someone to post if there's interest.

Original grips, 1 was cracked so I got a replicated resin set

Serial 45,xxx would be a 3rd Model.

Sounds like a .38 Safty Hammerless 3rd Model based on the serial number. I don't know much about these guns but SCSW states, Ser. Number range 42484 - 116002. 73,500 manufactured
c. 1890 - 1898
