just acquired a very nice 32 hand ejector revolver and trying to identify the year and if this was a special build. serial #518xxx stamped 32 long CTG, made in USA, what's odd is the grip, it is one to change the round butt to square but, and some machining was done, looks factory not home done. serial number is stamped above the mainspring tension screw and is a factory stamp, it matches the one on the cylinder, also has H E WALLACE stamped on the backstrap. included some pictures, any help greatly appreciated.

posted this in antiques first, newbie still learning

Yes, it is a Regulation Police. The backstrap cut is factory. The stocks are aftermarket. It was probably shipped sometime in the 1930s. We need the serial number to narrow down that date a mite.
