Identify These Grips?

Recently I picked up a very good 6.5" Model 27 serial S186xxx, probably made about 1958.

At the time it clad in some unkown black stocks, made of some plastic like material that had roughly the weight and density of wood.

I quickly shed the black stocks and put on my $35 cokes.

Thus my question... can anyone identify the black grips?

could be ivory from the now extenct black elephant, or plastic. i do like them. they look very functional. lee

No one recognises the manufacturer of the grips?

I wouldn't be all that positive that these are manufactured products rather than a one of a kind set . The interior looks a litte crude to have been done on a assembly line basis.
