I'll try and post pics, but here's the basic info.
"32 LONG CTG" on left side of barrel
3-1/4" barrel
Last pat date on top of barrel is February 6, 1906
S&W black hard plastic grips (round butt)
Nickel finish (@ 70% +/—)
Serial number on bottom of butt is 80688 (or 80888)
No model number on yoke, only matching prod numbers
"u" shape rear sight groove, rounded blade front. Fixed.
Yes, it has a strain screw
5 screws. 4 on side of frame, plus 1 in front of trigger guard

Any idea of value?

. . . .or 88908. I hate serial numbers with all numbers being able to rotate and still look like numbers! The serial numbers on S&Ws should be viewed with the barral facing to the rightm not left, so 88908 would make it a 32 Hand Ejector Model of 1903, 2nd Change, It would have shipped around 1909. Even though your revolver appears to be in nice, a ton of these revolvers were made and value is relatively low. You can probably purchase another revovler like yours for just under $300 today.

I can't add much except welcome to the forum, and whatever you do don't buy ammo and shoot that one. If you do you will buy more of them, even though you don't need them. With a little clean up a beautiful gun will be found...actually ain't too bad as found.

Thanks all

Thanks for the info and comments.
It's actually a friends piece and will most likely be for sale soon.
Think there'd be interest here?

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! It is pretty likely someone here would want it. As glowe said, though, he shouldn't expect a King's ransom for it. Keep in mind that it is not an antique and to ship it across state lines requires an FFL and transfer fees on both ends plus shipping costs unless it is shipped to a C&R license holder.
