Shrug. Richard Davis of Second Chance fame used to regularly shoot himself in the gut with .44 mags and such in the course of promoting his vests when they were new. He's usually stick a phone book or a stack of magazines (the kind one reads) under it though.

This stupid-human-trick seems to have built-in consequences. Hope they have been neutered so as not to cause any real damage. Joe

You might want to do a dry run or two with the vest strapped to a bale of hay or the like...

I'll be willing to bet that when Richard Davis pulled his stunts, he was at least using lead bullets. I doubt these morons know the difference.

Well, at least he didn't drop his cigarette.
And the classic line, "This concludes the documentary."
True idiots.

When I was in Law Enforcement we were issue second chance concealable vest and heavier vest for entry work. I hung mine on a fence post and checked them out. Just wanted to make sure

And to think if they already haven't bred they will soon enough, then a whole new bunch of dumb will come about. Thanks Larry

So one of the guys becomes the Director. His forgotten vest is found at his former office. Some of the boys hang it up and test our duty ammo on it, which buzzes right through. The vest was sent off to H.Q. which prompted the purchase of vests that worked, although I don't know if any were actually delivered.

The guys that shot the vest got a significant butt chewing. Not for destruction of the vest to but for exposing the fact that they didn't work.

I got measured for a real vest but it hasn't showed up in the last 15 years. It is really more important that an action was shown responding to the newly discovered defect. Actually getting the vest is waaayyy secondary around here.

The Director was such an unfavorable person that the joke for years was that he should have been wearing it when the test was done. Just a little in-house humor among the boys and girls.

I wouldn't be trusting any body armor. You just never know.

Natural selection at work . . . maybe next time . . .

For a vest to work, it actually performs best if you're wearing it, or have it around a pig carcass or something. It doesn't really matter if you shoot it with FMJ or lead bullets. Even a IIA vest will stop pedestrian 9mm. That vest didn't look to be properly fit or in the best of shape, so they probably got it off Ebay. That would make it rather dicey, but... eh... at least they know that one worked.

Well, golly gee ! It dont seem like its in the vest. Wonder wereall that bullet got to ? Can't get my breath too good, here. What's this here red stuff comin out the hole in my boob ?

Go figure !

The truly sad deal...that stupid video is probably on it's second trip around the world already. The anti's love to see crap like this. Gunowners making themselves look like brainless idiots.

At times we are our own worse enemies.

Many years ago when I was a guard, a different outfit in the area had a guard killed by a sniper. Our outfit decided to put bullet proof windows in our guard shacks. They did a few. Rocky showed up for work on graveyard. Somebody told him they gave us bullet proof windows. Rocky grabed a broom and slammed the window to try it out. The window shattered. One of the boys said, rocky, they didnt get to this shack yet.

What a dumb ***. All I could say when I saw the picture of the guy standing there is "Oh No". I've watched it twice. Did the bullet go trough the vest or did it just "pinch him"? Sure looks like a gunshot wound to me.
