Idiots with a 9mm

The vest manufacturers may say that the vest works equally well against lead or FMJ bullets, but I would guess FMJ will penetrate anything better than lead will, as lead tends to deform (flatten out) more easily. At handgun velocities, this may not be a real factor. I expect that if someone really cares, this kind of test has been performed and the results are somewhere on the internet.

I'll bet a vest does work better if you're wearing it than if you wrap it around a stump, bale of hay, old easy chair, etc, but I would be willing to make that compromise if I am the one to be shot at!

True idiots.
The subject matter of the "documentary" is about idiocy in America, not about bullet resistant vests. I bet y'all missed that subtlety.

What a dumb ***. All I could say when I saw the picture of the guy standing there is "Oh No". I've watched it twice. Did the bullet go trough the vest or did it just "pinch him"? Sure looks like a gunshot wound to me.
Nope, not an entry wound. Clearly he was born with 3 nipples and a long, thin wine mark from that faux nipple almost straight downward. It just happens to look like a blood stream.

I'm no doctor, and I don't even play one on TV, but if the bullet didn't penetrate the vest he should have just the large circular welt, not the bullet diameter sized hole leaking bright red stuff in the center of the welt. But what do I know?

They edited out the first five seconds of the video ... where the guy wearing the vest says, "Hey, one of y'all hold my beer!"

I have a 9mm hole in my chest and I'm bleeding,,,,,,,....

At least the obligitory "Duude" was used a few times.

I am also thinking that the bullet make it through the vest,,, Mabey just slowed enough to get under the skin.

Just seeing the opening frame of the video tells you it isn't going to end well.

That vest looks rather flimsy compared to what the local LEOs wear.

They need to be more carefull. The shooter may have missed and hit something valuable like that trailer house or shed.

On second thought they were most likley Aggies trying to look like Longhorns. Aggies don't know the difference between a bullet proof vest and a ski vest.

The second most amazing thing, is that although that close the mook still missed hitting center mass! I can't watch the video again on this P/C, does anyone remember if it had a trauma plate that the shooter missed?

Appears there is a very shallow gene pool in that area.Makes you want to endorse natural selection.

The "Gene Pool" still needs a lot of work!!! I'm not sure I "buy" what the video is selling as 'real' because the AH just stands there when he is supposedly hit with a 9mm.

Somebody ought to warn him that wearing a cape doesn't mean he can fly.

When you're really good, they call you "Crackerjack".

That cough (the one right before he took the drag on the cigarette IIRC

) and the way he was starting to hunch over makes me think his left lung was punctured, or at the very least his plural cavity. Does anyone know where this happened, or what the legal outcome is? I'm hoping, despite his being an idiot and making shooters look bad, that the ***clown is O.K. However, it certainly doesn't look good.

My guess is that blunt trauma somehow broke skin. Someone checks the vest after he takes it off, and the guy wearing the vest denies being shot.

Were to take a guess, it would be that these are younger guys who are either in the Army or a criminal justice program - short haircuts that look rather military, and the guy getting shot stands at attention when he takes the bullet.
