Did you put the .070 butt pad on the stock for function or looks? I like the looks and have considered putting one on my CTR stock.

Sorry for the delayed response...I'm in Canada fishing this week. I admit I added that for looks. With this rifle, I'd be a puss if I complained about a sore shoulder. Just like the way it finishes off the stock, and it was a cheap add-on.

I agree it really adds to the looks. For $20, it's a cheap experiment.

Some new portraits with a few new accessories. Overkill for this rifle? Hell yes. Some things have trickled down from its big brother, but have to say I love this more and more as time goes by! Partial list of goodies:

Midway has them. I would think that most of the dealers that carry Magpul do as well, just in case that's all you need (Midway has some sort of minimum order fee)

It's MagPul's .070 thick pad for the CTR/STR butt stocks. $19 at Midway.

Judging the actual color / shade of Magpul's FDE color is extremely hard to do based on online photos. In my opinion, it is much darker in person than it usually appears. For reference, the stock, pistol grip, AFG, and rail covers are all Magpul FDE.
