If you could design your own S&W auto pistol.....

A 3953TSW with no accessory mount or dust cover grooves, and an H&K LEM/Match hybrid trigger. While they're at it, a modern Melonite/Nitron/etc. black finish on the slide and black anodized frame.

But if we're settling for things S&W might have actually made but didn't, I'd settle for a 3956.

I'd start here, but with a few changes. 9mm instead of .45 ACP. Or maybe they could make both! :D

Somebody else mentioned it, but I'd change the grip mounting to be like the 2nd generation. That would open up a lot of possibilities.

Titanium frame would be nice, but would cost as much as Unobtainium, so it would be alloy much as it is now.

Frame mounted decocker, night sights, Melonite finish on the slide, dark finish in the frame.

Integral rail for those who want or need to mount a light, laser, bayonet, etc...

De horn it all around to slim the profile as much as feasible, especially at the rear of the trigger guard where it is supposed to blend into the frame.

Scandium framed 4513TSW, the early version with no rail. 7-round flush fit mag, melonite finish, Novak night sights, decock only. THIN rubber grips too. Match grade 3.75 inch barrel. Maybe a Briley bushing too. Regards 18DAI

Well based on the older info I included below: here is mine which I also posted in the "Wish List" sometime back;

The 1016 would be very nice. However, I had always wanted a 6" or 7" slide model of the 10XX series pistols for hunting with the 10mm cartridge. This particular firearm Performance Center 1096 because it could have four 6" or 7" barrels with fully supported chamberings for the 10mm, 40S&W, 357SIG and the 9x25 Dillon cartridges to add to its flexibility as a shooter/hunter piece. The slide could be offered cut for mounting optics such as red dot or even picatinny to accommodate other scopes.
The action could be DAO like the 86's and 46's or TDA type with decocker like the 06's and 66's.

I hate to say this, but it might could sport a 1911 type grip safety and thumb safety to allow Cocked and Locked carry...SAO ???

from post #24-a CS10

CS10s' are already being made(by us,not S&W)by converting CS40s'.
4013/4014/4053/4054 are also converted to 10mm. There are threads in this auto pistol forum concerning the conversion.
But yes it would have been great if S&W made a CS10 along with the CS9,CS40,CS45.

Yessir, I've seen some of those beauties. They look great. S&W should've produced them when they got the FBI contract as a BUG for the agents.

Any stainless 10mm in a double stack, wow!!!!!!! Friggin awesome. I've wondered how much it would cost to have one made........

I don't care what it looks like, or what it's made of. I only have two criteria: it's reliable, and it always hits where I wanted to hit, whether it was aimed properly or not.:p :D

Wow! You just described my 3013NL! And, frankly, my Israeli trade 3914.

Ditto on the finger hook on the trigger guard. AND the wings on the rear site. Seriously, those made it into production???
