If you could design your own S&W revolver.....

A k-frame carry gun with an alloy frame. I'm really baffled why this isn't already available, and so I still carry my old model 12.

Ideally it would be in 357 mag with a 2.75 or 3" barrel and no lock.

My Model 12-2. I carry it off-duty.

Good idea, blueticker. A 19-2 in .327 mag would be excellent.

1) 5" full lug, (they just balance soooo nice), "L" frame in 327 FM... similar in looks to the 16-4. No lock and no MIM.

2) 547 with the same "moonless" extractor/ejector

All I want is the John Wayne gun. Don't care about size, caliber, or design just the part where it's the fastest, never misses, or runs out of bullets. Is that too much to ask for?

Seems like there is alot of interest in something in 327 FM. Hopefully someone from "corporate" is watching. Or..... we need to start making phone calls or e-mails.

I don't know that the J frame could handle the 327 though. IIRC,,, you're talking about a cartridge that is 10-15,000 psi over the 357 magnum. Even my 16-4 has developed a decent amount of shake after a semi steady diet of 327.

1)What would it be?

2.) Taking it one step further, which out of production revolver would you want S&W to bring back?

I'd like to see a come back of concealable top break revolvers. But modernized with fiber optic front sights, adjustable rear sights and cut for moon clips chambered in today's popular auto pistol calibers such as 380acp, 9mm, 10mm and 45acp
