My 66 3 inch

My only hand gun would be my 66 3 inch. Portable enough, powerfull enough and accurate enough for anything I do with a revolver. If I was buying new I might buy a 686+ 3 inch

My K22 that thing is just a pleasure to shoot. I like it so much I put another one on Layaway.

If I could keep only one of my revolvers it would have to be my 66-4 4inch barrel. Best around revolver Smith ever made. But then again I have a 686-3 4 inch I love too. Then there is my combat masterpiece which is just about the most accurate gun I have ever fired either revolver or pistol. I could just put my model 10 on the nightstand because I could always hit my target the first time at the range with the model 10.

Tough choice but then again I would probably sell just about everything before I sold my revolver collection. It is hard to replace good revolvers . I have sold some that I have regetted.

If I could own only one handgun, pistol or revolver, it would be my 3" 66-2, a fine all-purpose gun with the best out-of-box DA trigger that I have found. --c

My choice would be a 5" 657 41 Magnum with 60's vintage coke bottle grips, a large supply of 225 gr. Keith SWC bullets, and a drum of Unique powder. I could go from mild to wild. I know this gun was never cataloged, but since we're wishing. Second choice would be an 8 shot 5" M627 and same accessories. Bob

If I could only have one, it would be my model 620. Some people like to trash the 2 piece barrel but I suspect that they've never shot one. Off a bench rest I can consistently hit a quarter at 40 feet if I use my reading glasses. I expect a really good shooter could shoot one hole groups 3/8 inch in diameter at that distance.

As for the lock, if it ever causes a problem I'll have it out of the gun in about a half hour. I'm also not a bit worried about the MIM components. GM uses powdered metal connecting rods in their premium hi performance engines and they are stronger than any forged rod ever offered before. I've alos found that after about 600 rounds downrange the action on my 620 is getting to be very smooth.

It would be this one, its my everyday carry piece

Lew horton 24-6, I found it online in an auction, from a guy that is 15 min. away. It's been More accurate than my 4 and 5inch smiths.

If It could be only "ONE" it would have to be my 4" M547 9mm just like Big Foot from above..
For carry it would be my 642/942 & for the range or home protection my M686 4"er in 357 Mag..
This thread makes my head hurt too..
OUCH!!
