If You Could Only Own One Smith & Wesson… What Would It Be?

I honestly can't pick just one, or otherwise I suppose I would just own one. I only have one wife,......(not sure if that's a good or bad thing), I only have one dog (not sure about that one either) and I only have one cell phone. I also only have one house, one ATV, one tractor and one mailbox.

Those are pretty easy "one of" items, for me anyways. As for S&W guns? I pretty much only have one of each that I do own,............ but they are all Smith and Wessons. I'm not sure I would like have just one S&W gun. I love my revolvers! But day in and day out, my everyday carry gun for the last 10 years or so has been my Shield 45.

It's a great gun, but not my favorite gun, however it suits my everyday carry needs perfectly. It actually a pretty good range shooter as well. But it's not my best looking gun. My revolvers are my favorites, but even then I can't pick a favorite "one".

On further tbought,......... I've decided not to play this fantasy game...........

I do own only one Smith. It's a Bodyguard 2.0, because it serves a unique purpose that no other pistol on the market can.

All my other guns are Glocks or Glock clones because they have 3rd party suppliers and are simple enough that you can do what you want with them.

I only own one S&W handgun. It's the M&P 5.7. So far it is as reliable as my Glocks! I have several long guns and a FPC. Yes, J frames are reliable, but I just do not like the way they feel in my hand. So, keep your revolvers! IMHO and we all know what they say about opinions! I have had no issues with S&W Customer Service. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

I thought this would be appropriate....

If you could choose just one Smith & Wesson firearm to own—whether for personal defense, fun at the range, or collecting—what would it be and why?

Would you pick a classic like the Model 29, a reliable Shield Plus, or something unique?

I’d love to hear what the community values most, as this could influence an upcoming giveaway contest! 👀

What's your must-have Smith & Wesson?

Easy question…a harder question would be if I could only own 3.

My one gun of I could only own one.
Without any doubt it would be a S&W model 29-2 with 6” barrel.
I can use it for everything from hunting small game to the biggest game in North America.
I have on occasion carried it concealed for self defense .
With the right hand loads it can do it all.

2.5 inch model 66. Not my favorite at all, but the 2.5 inch 66 or 19 is carriable and has 6 rounds of 357. Not the best but I have carried in bear country, and good for people or hog or dog defense. The smallest hand cannon you can have.

The model 60, three inch is a close second. You need more barrel to make a 357 work, the little 3 inch with adjustable sights is easy to pack and 5 rounds of 357 will solve most problems. These two or course shoot 38s and snake shot and ammo is everywhere in those two calibers.

That's an "EASY BUTTON" question for me.

My 686 4”. Fun for target shooting, and stoked correctly, great for defense against 99% of the animals, both two and four legged.

A 3" fixed sight k-frame. Model 13 or 65. Or maybe just a nice round butt 3" Model 10 would be fine.
