I would recommed getting some ammo and a holster. I wonder about crossing state lines with a gun in my car. Congratulations on the career change.

Ammo and holster huh??? I figured the ammo part was a given after all I'm not big on shooting blanks especially for personal protection....lol and thank-you on acknowledging the career change...(marine electrician). This forum kind of scares me I've never seen this many people so nice and eager to pass on great knowledge. Thanks again.

do be careful crossing state lines with handguns as it can lead
you to the hurt locker real quick if your caught in one of the

As others have stated, know the state laws where you are going. If you have a concealed carry permit/license (in Texas it is a CHL) for your home state find out if the other states recognize your states permit.
