I'm a security guard!

Did a LOT of off duty security work in my 30 years of LE. It helped with the bills. Night clubs, construction sites, grocery stores, ball games, etc.
Some very long days after working all day or all night.

Thought I'd never see any of that again, but a retired LE friend has talked me into out-of-country security contracting. In process of getting passport, TWIC card, travel vaccinations, and yesterday just did the HR218/LEOSA qualification shoot (score:100).
Should be interesting.

Good luck in your endeavors.

I was approached back during the Kuwait/Iraq days to train local police agencies..

Pay offer was amazing, but I din't bite.

My son was a security contractor in Iraq and got into some worse battles than he did in the Army.

Pay exceeded $100,000, but the risk was quite high.

He mainly guarded diplomats and supply convoys en route to the Kurdish regions.

In one battle, the man next to him had his throat blown out by a bullet. My son had himself been wounded three times while a soldier there.

Some of those foreign security jobs are very high risk.
