I'm a Sucker for Pretty Guns

Shoebox, nice! I did not know Hogue would make custom grips. Maybe I'll check them as well for the same monogrip, but larger and with no finger grooves. See if they'll do that. I do think it's an attractive grip.

Onomea,
Ruger No.1 and No.3 rifles are nice as well.
Pic of K22M, Ruger Sec6 and a 629/4"
Bought the Ruger, for the Mrs, after it took two rounds
of 22 shot shells to dispatch a big Bufo toad.
Not good with dogs around the house.
Next Bufo got blasted with one CCI shot shell.
She was happy.
Kept it loaded with shot shells for her, but big dogs
were the first line of security decades ago.
West Broward County was kinda uninhabited decades ago.

Old pic of same gun as white on blue is nice.
She likes the Hogues

Not custom, but got these from Hogue. On my 686 Pro Series. Not a fan of finger groove stocks either. Bob

They do the stripe cap on most models but the new king cobra, I told em I sure would like one for my KC and he said “we can do that for you”. Ok.. great! Let’s do it. Took like 6 weeks. 150.00 bucks. I’m more than happy and they will get all my wood grip business from here on out. That gp100 is KILLER!!

Here’s both GP100s I had. The 6” after I put wood on the handle recently looks better than with rubber. If I still had that Lipsey version I would have had to shine it up. Doesn’t look anywhere near the OP’s gun!

I also have the rare as a hens tooth 5 inch half lug .357. Great gun. Cornerstone of my collection. It does NOT have the royal blueing of the OP gun sadly. It’s nice… but not as nice as his!

Onomea if you like those Turnbull walnut grips they are available from Altamont.

Altamont GP-100

Yes, thanks. Somehow I overlooked your post earlier.

After I saw Caje's post on the Bowen gun, and looked at it, I asked Bowen who made the grips. They sent me a link to Altamont. I ordered a set, and they arrived yesterday:

While a bit small, these are a more comfortable fit for me. They did need a little inletting in one spot on both panels, but fortunately it was simply a matter of cutting a small slot with a dremel. A very tight fit with zero slop. (They will be a chore to take off if I ever want to.)

Feels much better in my hand.
