How about Harvey after the hurricane?
My first cat I could have walked like a dog without a leash; she would follow me anywhere. I was young and in a bad place when I ended up with her. My mother had picked her up when someone threw her out of a car my mom was behind. I had just moved back in with my mother, I was homeless, jobless and not really wanting to live, but that kitten smelled so bad that I took to cleaning her with a sponge, not knowing she would attach herself to me because of it. She was with me for the next 16 years, and I still miss her terribly, ten years later.hes a pal and as close to a dog as a cat can get, follows us around the house, hangs close by, likes to lay between us on the floor when we are in seperate chairs, tends to follow my wife much more than me although right now he is sitting with me in the basement while I type this.
How about Harvey after the hurricane?
My choice ....Lady Smith
I'm fond of cats, dogs are nice but require too much attention for my taste. Were down to one old sixteen year old male named Buddy, I'm not ashamed to admit that I am attached to old Buddy and will probably shed a tear when he decides he just ain't having enough fun or gettin enough attention and checks out. Last winter he had some kind of problem that required someone to give him an I.V. once a day for about three weeks, I volunteered and we got through that just fine thank you.
My wife is recovering from rolling her ankle and spiral fracturing her right outside metatarsal just above her small toe while avoiding stepping on Buddy while they were playing around, she never once put any blame on the cat, she just said that "He zigged when I thought he would zag." Thats a cat for you....
We lost Boogey last winter which I think started Buddy on his downfall, he moped around because the two of them were inseperable for all their lives, Buddy's an outlaw and never licensed, Boogey was a rescue from the Humane Society.
My wife and I both like black cats, Buddy looks like he's wearin a Tuxedo. He has white socks and I wanted to call him Socks but my wife won out with Buddy, hes a pal and as close to a dog as a cat can get, follows us around the house, hangs close by, likes to lay between us on the floor when we are in seperate chairs, tends to follow my wife much more than me although right now he is sitting with me in the basement while I type this.
He knows when I'm going to bed and sits on the bed til my wife turns out the light and goes about her business for another couple hours the way she has for over forty years.
Carl I'm very sorry to hear of the attitude of your vet care facality. If I thought that was even remotely possible I'd get me a different vet and I'd check the out from here to there and can to can't. We've been with ours so long that his daughter is now the head cat doctor there and she wasn't even born when we first hooked up with him. it's a great office and you can tell by the way they handle your "friends" that they truly care.
Before you take your new kitty you need to do some shoppin'!
