Well some of u know that I live here in Louisiana. As well as know that the flooding impacted my city the worst around here. I'm happy to say me and the family are alive and well. I managed to save most of the important stuff. At least the stuff that I knew couldn't be replaced. My house is one of the highest homes on our street. And I hate to say that I got 3 feet of water in my house. Most of my neighbors and this city didn't come out as well. Both my neighbors beside me have 7 feet of water in their homes. It appears most of the homes here will be a total loss. That's going by what FEMA has already declared on a lot of the homes........and just so u all know. The majority of lives in this city as well as this Parish (County as u may call them) were already saved my friends or neighbors. Long before the government ever stepped in to help rescue people. I spent all of that Friday night as well as most of that Saturday morning rescuing people. Only to find my home taking on water early that Saturday morning. If we would have sat back and waited in our government. Like the people did in 2005 during Katrina. The loss of life would have been very bad. Sadly 13 people lost their lives but thousands more were saved while the government was still working on getting here. This just goes to show that "the people" can and will rely on each other when that time comes......I'll get pics up when I can.
