I always was a VERY morning person until illness caught up to/with me. Fortunately, I was never selected for Nevada jury duty because that would have been difficult. For the 1st day of Federal jury duty, I read we would have to appear at 7AM. I just could not have appeared...

During my long LEO career we worked days and nights. I functioned much better at night. Now I seldom get up before 9 a.m. unless I have somewhere to go, and then an afternoon nap is usually waiting. My last job sometimes involved a shift that started at 5 a.m. and ended at 5 p.m. I hated that shift and felt tired all day.
