WIfe goes to Baton Rouge yesterday to take daughter back to LSU. I'm finishing up some paperwork so I don't go. I send her to Cabellas while she is there to buy a deep cycle battery and a charger with my gift card.
I print out a picture of the battery from thrie internet site as well as the charger. I circle the battery and charger. The battery is on sale for $40 off. I instruct her to buy exactly what I've circled, nothing else. Check the numbers-that if a number is off by even one DO NOT BUY. I quiz her-what if the salesman says "This is the same thing..what do you do?" She says don't buy. I say good girl and send her off. She doesn't bother to check the amount she should pay (which is on the printout with circled pictures in color that I gave her before I quizzed her on what she was supposed to do) she just gets the stuff and gives them the card. Oh well not her money why should she care? :mad:
This morning I find out that they charged her the regular price instead of the sales price to the tune of $40 extra.
She looks at me like I'm crazy when I get a little angry-" I just gave him the card-I didn't know"

Getting close to new wife time................

That was pretty much what she told me to end the argument. Yep...pretty much to the word.
I'll show her-I'm gonna go to the gunshow in Lafayette and buy a gun!
 
Whenever Smokey fails on an assigned mission I tie her to the bumper of the truck with a log chain. (and you have to use a log chain, believe me, you don't want her getting loose!)

But after 31 years, we've gotten pretty good at the note thing, mostly with me. I'll take it wherever I'm sent, and usually lay it on the table. (most of the people I deal with regularly will say hi and reach for the note)
 
I have had this problem with Cabelas too. Often the stores do not have the same specials as the internet site. You have to get someone above the level of clerk to check the internet site and demand the sale price. If it is not in the store's computer you have to force them to honor the internet or flyer price.

I sent my last wife out for a motorcycle part with STRICT INSTRUCTIONS as to what to get.
When her lawyer got done with me I was homeless and got to see her new boyfriend on my scooter now and then. He also wound up with my house, truck, boat, and dog.
I miss my dog [sniff]

I miss my ex garage.
 
I've been on the other end of it. My wife Susie sees a purse at Walmart she likes with a big "S" embroidered on it. I say I'll go buy it for her for whatever occasion it was. She describes it, gives me directions to the exact spot in the store where it is with landmarks and everything, and there it is. One style purse with a big "S" on it. Just like she described. I get it for her. Guess what? Wrong bleepin' purse!!
 
I'm an investigator so I look at this a bit differently than most people. I'm also married. Caj, you said it was a gift card, and she was charged the full amount. I assume she got the proper item. Consider this- She got the item at the lower price, but got $40 cash. Caj, she used the forty bucks to buy shoes!!!! (See the Wives, guns, shoes thread from yesterday).
Next time she sends you out to buy something get a Registered Magnum with the change while you're out. That'll show her.:D
Don't get a new Wife. As an attorney I'm sure you realize what that will cost you. And anyway, if she's been puttin' up with you this long.....she's a keeper.:p

I hear ya :(
There's a Humane Society Thrift Store here in town (one of the few stores in our little town, btw).
There was a pitcher and bowl in the window - My wife said that she like it, but didn't know where she'd put it.
The other day I stopped in and bought it.

"What's this?" :confused:
"The pitcher that you liked in the HSTS window" :)
"No it isn't" :rolleyes:

It's back in the window. I donated it :cool:
I learned my lesson Last Wife ;)
