iMac, Anyone?

UPDATE

I've had my iMac for a week now, and learning a lot with the very able help of one the board members here, Jeffsmith. I did have a young feller come to my house to do the transfer for me, Smitty helped us along the way. Smitty and I have been conversing via email and/or phone daily. Learning new things is a challenge for me, this old brain still works, but it takes a bit longer now days. I didn't quite like the Mac keyboard and mouse, so I'm using my MS mouse and keyboard, as I'm used to them. The sound is satisfactory, but I hooked-up my old Altec Lansing speaker system, great sound! Many thanks to you all for your help and encouragement, and a special thanks to Smitty.

Wife recently got a MacBook Pro. Easy transition from Windows. In fact, my wife says she thinks she's learned to do more on the Mac in just a few days than she has during years with a PC.

Sounds about perfect, Jeff. Good to see oldfella in such good hands. :)

I have two Mac Books (wife and I) and we love them. I tried for years to live with the PC's = slow updates, virus scans that cripple the system etc...

You know what they say; once you go Mac, you never go back.

IMacs are superior to PCs for home use for sure, but damn pricey.

Then again, IPhones are expensive too but worth every cent.

Having a Mac is like having an automatic vs. a stick shift. They are great for the technically challenged and are out of the box and ready to go in about five minutes. I had to use a PC at work and was amused at the constant crashes and virus problems. Luckily there was a full time tech staff to keep the PCs running. The Macs are spendy but worth it in my humble opinion.
