In my never ending strife for

Heck the French don't mind a fry named after them why should Redskins bother anyone.

You'll get use to it look at how long they were called the Baltimore Colts.

They could have a field day with this one...luckily, the mainstream media loves firearms manufacturers so they get a pass...

How about all those poor folks in Minnkneesota stuck with the Viqueens. There's not much good to say about a team that has never played in a Super Bowl.

They did play one year in the Toilet Bowl, Minnkneesota vs. Detroit for Last Place in the Central Division.

I'm just a patient PACKERS fan, a Wisconsin boy in Georgia.

A few that come to mind are:

The Washington Assault Dogs.

The Washington Trained Seals

The Washington Dead Parrots

The Washington Cockroaches

The Washington Homeless

The Washington Compromisers

The Washington Partiers

The Washington White Rats

The Washington Pig Skins.

The Washington Lemons.

The Washington Lemmings.

The Washington Retreaters.

The Washington

The Washington Procrastinators

The Washington Fat Cats

The Washington Guano Harvesters

The Washington Insiders

The Washington Globalist

The Washington Back Stabbers

The Washington Money Grabbers

The Washington Vendors

Didn't they play the Chiefs, 1970 or so?

I guess "Chief" is OK for the PC crowd.

Great commercial when the gentleman painted "Chefs" in the end zone. Great GooglyMoogly! Was it Snickers?

I really don't like Dan Snyder...

...but I like that he's keeping my beloved Redskins the Redskins! (Although he's only doing that because he likes to rub salt in peoples cuts.)

I miss my Bullets too!!

I believe they will still be called the Redskins because I think the owner is still refusing to change the name, standing up against Washington and the Politically Correct morons!
And I say good for him! ;)

I've always been surprised being here in New York that the leftist hacks we have running this place haven't gone whole hog here. I mean, we have the Mohawk Valley, One local school team is the Indians, another is the Red Raiders, just about every town here in the Adirondacks (Native American for bark eater) is named or has something named after one Indian tribe or another or one word or another. My mom's home town was called Tahawus, meaning cloud splitter, we have Lake Abenaki, and so on and so forth. Where does it end? I mean, my family is part Mohawk, my great-great grandfather was a tribal elder for crying out loud and I think the names are fine the way they are. Leave it alone! If this goes through, you will see names dropped left and right, no more Florida State Seminoles, Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians etc. Then where, how many cities, Lakes, towns, schools, sports teams on down to pee-wee football will be forced to change? Political correctness run rampant is helping to ruin this country.

About eight years ago the NCAA forced my home area Division II university, the Indiana University of PA Indians to change their name and mascot. A public request was made for names and logo ideas. I submitted the name PeeCees (PC's) and the logo would be a gray blob. The winner was the Crimson Hawks.
Meanwhile, one mile from the IUP campus, the Indiana JR/SR High School Little Indians still have their name and mascot!

The dumbest thing about making IUP change its team names and mascot- the home county- Indiana, the town the school calls home, Indiana PA were named in honor of the original inhabitants, the Indians which were never called Native Americans until this whole political correctness suppository got jammed into our posteriors.

I wonder when peta--will start in on those who have teams named after Animals? I mean--having teams named after wildlife--means (in their minds) animal Abuse.
