Ive been looking for awhile now and I cant decide. Im looking for an OWB or IWB holster for a J-frame (M&P340 or 432PD). As far as dressing goes, Id say I wear... more relaxed/baggy jeans w/ shirts that barely cover front pockets and Im 5-11 / 165/170.

I currently pocket carry, but this passed weekend the jeans I had on did not have deep pockets and when I sat down I could feel the gun sticking out and I dont want that...

As far as snaps or clips Im undecided......... and Im not looking for something extremely expensive... I see some of the members here do a good job from what I can see, and if possible would like to support.

Feel free to give any and all ideas.......

Thanks! - BrianE

Take a look at Pancake style holsters by Simply Rugged and fellow forumites Lobo Leather and Countryboy.

Close fitting, simple and secure.

Check Ebay for the holsters that other people didn't want or old stock classic makes from Safety Speed, et al. (The defunct Safety Speed company made some really nice gear.) National Holster Company simple suede clip ons run about five bucks and are as good as any open top suede clip on.

To all that have replied, thank you and Ill be taking a look at the options youve suggested. Im just a picky person (takes me like a year to find shoes) :D

If you have any more suggestions feel free to send them my way....... All appreciated!!

Thanks - Brian

The Desantis Insider is my most used holster.

Desantis Insider

It carries a j-frame almost completely below the belt line. I easily conceal my model 38 with just an untucked t-shirt. I have a very long torso so I don't have a lot of untucked shirt to work with. I used to use a pocket holster a lot but I just like IWB better.

IWB does take a little bit to get used to and you might need to buy your pants one size up. This holster puts the cylinder well below the waistline so your belt goes over the narrow portion of the frame behind the recoil shield find this makes for a more comfortable IWB carry. The deep carry position also keeps the grip from poking you in the side.

If you want the same carry position in a custom holster check out the "Deep Drop Bandit" from Bell Charter Oak Holsters:
