Inexpensive field holster for an M&P .22 Compact?

I'm looking for an inexpensive field holster for an M&P .22 Compact...leather or nylon, no Kydex. This will not be a CCW holster. It will be used mostly for carry when I am working on my acreage or woods walking. It must have good retention. Is there an Uncle Mike's hip holster that will fit?

Check ebay, I bought a cheap holster for my Sr22 there for the same purpose as you and it has turned out to be a better made then my uncle mikes.

WalMart has nylon holsters for pellet guns that work like a champ, and even have a pouch for a spare mag. Last time I heard, they were about $8.00.

I'd really prefer an Uncle Mike's hip holster. Local dealers only carry Backhawk. Anybody using an Uncle mike's and what size?
