Info on J Frame Grips

I bought a used S&W 442 a couple years ago and these grips were in the box. They sound like stones when you handle them, can you help me identify them. Any value?

Looks like a micarta material. Possibly vz grips?

Definitely micarta, but I don't recognize the J-mark for sizing.
Sweet looking grips, however.

I bet you're right. The material looks to be G-10, often used in knife scales.

Definitely Altamont (they rout the frame size on the back of their grips) and most likely G-10 or some other resin impregnated fabric.

^This. I don't think those are Altamont as they stamp/brand all their grips.
