Inside Car Holster ideas?

Just a thought, and this would be state specific.
When you remove the weapon from your person you are no longer "carrying concealed" and may not have the protection of those laws. Now you are a person with a gun in the vehicle and are you subject to a different set of laws pertaining to transporting a weapon?
If you are taking a road trip and crossing state lines it could be important.
Under the steering wheel or affixed to the dash are not legal in Florida unless the laws have recently been relaxed.

Thanks Five Shot I guess i won't be mounting it there. I am installing a console vault tomorrow so I can lock my gun up if I am going to go into some place I can't carry. Don

I keep my guns on me, I don't care to constantly show off my gun as I'm holstering/unholstering every time I get in/out of the car.
If you drive a whole lot, consider a shoulder holster.

I could keep it on me at all times but then there are places I would,t be going into. I don't think I will be moving the gun from the holster to the console vault while people are around my Jeep. If you have to get out to move your gun it wasn't going to do you much good while you were wearing it inside the car. Don

Magload and any other Florida folks. Check out this website www.floridafirearmslaw.com
Florida pro gun attorney has written a book and explained the law for us permit holders and any one else in Florida that owns a gun. He keeps the content fresh through updates on his website.
I don't know the guy and don't get anything for this. I just feel this book is indispensable. At least check it out.

Carry Appendix IWB.
Don't handle your firearm administratively any more than you have to. The potential for all kinds of bad things is increased by transferring the gun off and back to your body--ND, visibility, reduced access, less security, FORGETTING IT IS OFF YOUR BODY, sweeping yourself and others with the muzzle, hokey mounting and retention systems, access by unauthorized persons, expense.
Things that stop people from AIWB: too much gut, too long a barrel, improper belt/holster combination, total aversion to the slightest discomfort. I find it more comfortable and comforting than any other carry position.
