I have managed to keep a lot of the ammo that bought. Not true with the Bourbon.

I'm going for both. What bourbons are you after? Luckily a buddy bought me a bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle before it got stupid expensive. I'm stalking a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle, it is supposed to be released at one liquor store in my area in November.

Before the day that was supposed to kill us all, 1 January, 2000, better known as Y2K I had a lot of conversations with a friend of mine who collected a few guns. He had stocked up on 9mm, .308 and .223 rounds. I told him NOTHING was going to happen, and was of course right. He wasn't really all that concerned, was just having fun with it.
But he did share a tidbit of wisdom I'll never forget. He said if the SHTF the two best things to have are booze and ammo. You can trade either for almost anything.
I don't drink, so I've got plenty of ammo.

Wait! This is still America, you can collect both. I don't recommend using both at once however!

Yes, I think booze and ammo will trump gold and silver for at least a little while if our currency ever collapses. Now where to store all that Wild Turkey....

Nor mine. An acquaintenance has a still about 1500 yards from my home, back in the woods.

Throw the cap in the fire (won't be needing that anymore)
