Interesting Photo Thread

Some cute backyard fox kits, taken from my bedroom window. Their den was under our patio slab. The first is from 2011, the second from 2012. Unfortunately, we haven't had any since, although an adult fox paid us a visit during Thanksgiving dinner a couple of years ago.

Those are some cute little critters!

Monroe Station on Tamiami Trail, probably in the 1960's.

The proprietor there when I was a young teenager, Dixie Webb.
We would stop there on the way to or from shooting in the Big Cypress
Swamp.
I suspect Dixie and my friend's dad might have had a drink or two as they swapped lies.
A sign read "Boneless Chicken Dinner 25 cents" next to a jar of hard boiled eggs.

Great photos, everyone!

Here's a heron fishing. I took this from the deck of our apartment. The fireworks were from a couple years ago, I was playing around with long exposures.

Those are some cute little critters!

Thanks! We only saw the kits in 2011, but we knew their mother was around, because she provided a freshly killed squirrel each morning for them to eat. In contrast, the mother fox in 2012 was less experienced, because she showed herself a lot. We think she might have been one of the kits from the 2011 litter. Here is a video of the 2012 group:

Same shot December winter morning.

These shots were taken from my driveway a few years ago. Now all of the lots across the street have houses on them. It will never be possible to take this again.

LouisianaJoe, December shot is amazing, I use it as a wallpaper, if you don't mind:)

I took these in the past couple of weeks. They are simple, but I find interest in the little things.

Western Redbud Leaf. I love these trees with their heart shaped leaves.

This is Star Fennel. The original photo was dried black fennel against a blue sky. I changed the photo to black and white and then inverted the colors. It reminds me of a screen print.

Here is a squirrel that fights with my cat just about every morning. He hides acorns in the yard. Newt stalks him, the squirrel jumps in a tree and scolds him, and they have a standoff for about 30 mins until my cat skulks back inside to watch him from a window to make plans for the next day.

Moonscape rocks at the beach. I love the texture.

I'm seeing some great photos!

In the first one, I was playing around with different prop rods. (I don't have the SP101 anymore)

So, can anyone tell me where I took the mailbox photo?
