We have had some revolvers lock up when we get them in at our wholesale shop. We check them out after we fix them, and,no more lockups. It's in the spring that the S&W puts in to the lock that is weak. We tell our customers that since the lock s have been put in,they will void the warranty as I type. Leave the revolvers with the ILS stock. If they break, call factory and they will replace or give out a new revolver with a better spring lock. No better way to say it but if enough go back broken,S&W will have to program their machinerys right to make the lock better so it will not lock up.
