Use this target to win again!
Edit:
Since you are a V twin kind of guy, mine is a 180° twin.
BMW or Laverdara?

Being 3 yards closer should've made that a disqualification!Hey! Look what I got in the mail Saturday!

If I get in on this one I will probably need a yard stick to measure my group.

I used four guns today, all snubbies...but two are rimfire and were shot SA, so they're out.
Just center fire DAO snubbies.

So, I made one effort each gun; an LCR .357 and my trusty 442-2, both using the PMC Starfire 125gr +p ammo...I wanted something that made clean holes and I'm used to defense ammo giving me more consistent accuracy.
I had something nice going with the 442, but #5 blew open the group...then #10 guaranteed a crappy result.
I faired better with the LCR, the slightly better sights helped, esp in a dimly lit indoor range (wades). I consider triggers between the two guns a wash, despite many really liking the LCR's. They're just different.

I'm pissed about my 442 effort, but I set aside the Starfires for this, so with 20 rounds I wasn't going to be able to do more than one try per gun... and I'm keeping the 135gr Gold Dots dots for carry ( the loaded rounds near the target).
The LCR is about typical for me, sometimes I do better...outdoors I can do this at 25yrds on better days.
I love this idea of a snubby match. Tons of people carry these things, but only a few really try to learn them.
I have yet to try the magnum 135gr load, just the +p .38sp. They chrono mid to high 800s in the 442 and mid 900s in my 2.5" L frame 242. The mag version I've seen right at or just over 1000fps in guns like the LCR.I just noticed you had some Speer Gold Dots in 135gr. I just picked up a box of those Saturday for my 649-5. Mine are .357 Magnum "short barrel".
They seem to get good reviews but according to Speer's website they are basically just a hot .38 spc+P round going by ballistics (just under a 1000 fps, from a 2" barrel however). I've not shot any as of yet but plan to at least a cylinders worth.
They certainly are expensive enough, but certainly get positive reviews. I've replaced Hornady CDs in .357 Magnum for them in my 649.
