...where I live following the advice of the author is a felony

I'm curious. While I do take issue with some of what the author says...too much trying to sound like some kind of know it all bada** mainly...I don't see where any of the advice is felonious, except perhaps in big time gun control states.

There you are screwed no matter what you do, but there is always "I'raather be judged by 12 than..."

In Colorado you can't threaten someone with deadly force unless you would be justified in using deadly force. at the point where the author is telling you do draw they 2 "G"s haven't done anything that would justify deadly force

That always sounds good, until the 12 are actually sending you to prison

I have a few "Acquaintances" that are in prison for life. One called me a few weeks ago and was hinting suicide. All that I am saying here is I aint a naive cherry and maybe I am thinking of many past threads and experiences. Not once have I ever "Needed or depended" on a cop for my safety and I would hate to know where I would be right now had I completely and totally followed the rules and the law.

Once while heading back to the ship in Pusan, Korea, I was accosted by a man with a box. While I kept walking he said, "Nice tea set, $30." I said NO and kept walking. He persisted, walking along, reducing the price a few bucks each time with me saying NO each time, trying to ignore him. He got down to $20, and in exasperation I looked at him and said, "Look, I don't even have $20." A quizzical look came over his face and he asked, "Well, how much do you have?" Without thinking I blurted out, "About 12 bucks." He smiled and said, "SOLD!" I laughed so hard I gave him the $12 and took the tea set. It was actually beautiful and made a nice gift once back in the States. The laugh alone was worth the $12.

Haha sounds about like how I got my daily carry holster for my .38. I was in Mexico, walking past a leather shop. Guy calls out to me, "I said hey man I don't want to insult you, I've spent most of my money, I've only got $10". He says that's fine starts asking me if I need a belt, a wallet, etc. I say I'm actually in the market for a holster for my .38. He keeps showing me some very nice holsters, wants $20-25 so on, I tell him I've only got ten dollars, we do this I don't know how many times and he finally hands me this cheap beat-up looking belt-clip holster says "Give me the $10". I wear it nearly everyday.

I'm with Smoke on the matter of it being a felony to display a weapon when deadly force is not warranted. Indiana is one of the most gun-friendly states in the union and it's a felony here. I was raised to not right a check you're not willing to cash, so if lift my shirt, the gun is coming out, and if the gun is coming. The suggested method of brushing the shirt up falls under felony intimidation in Indiana unless you were reasonably sure that they intend you harm. You may note that Indiana is one of the most gun-friendly states in the union.
