Like a lot of people I have been hanging around a few weeks learning by reading post. I live in Ponte Vedra Beach Florida which is the North end of St. Augustine.
I have owned a lot of S&W revolvers over the years but never a semi-auto.
I finally, an hour ago, bought an M&P9c with Tritium Night Sights.
I have a ccw permit ordered waiting for it to arrive. Since it has not arrived yet I cannot pick up the weapon until Thursady due to the 3 day wait period.

Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for all the post I have been learning from.

Ted

Thanks to everyone for the welcome.
The hard part now is waiting till Thursday before I can pick it up. Once you decide and pay for it you feel like a kid in a candy store with no money. It's behind the counter but I can't touch it.

Now Tampa and Nashville are hitting close to home. Also MOONDawg but I was not sure what town he was from.
The reason I say Nashville is that is where my wife is from and her family is spread all over Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin out to Lynchburg. Her mom lives in West Meade and we go up a few times a year. Her more than me.
But mrsig and MOONDAWG are really close.

I am new also and have a question. I have a S&W .38 Special that I was told was pre-WWII. The butt serial number is 377806. It is a side ejector, six shot with a 4 inch barrel. There is a 'C' located on the front of the butt also.Right hand side has .38 S&W Special CTG and the trademark logo. Any idea how old this gun is? It is in good shape, and, another question, is it safe to shoot Federal Hydro Shock 110 grain ammunition in it. Thanks for any help.

Had to chanche my profile!

I had to change my profile; I have served in the dutch Army as an artillery scout, but the profile would indicate when I choose the Army button that I would have served in the US Army which is not true, so I had to choose for "none".

First revolver

I just purchased my first revolver. Is there anything I should look for when I ispect it. I bought it sight unseen used. .357 686 competitor
Thanks!
