i read the article you noted and also one in the "Opinion" section of today's (02/26) Des Moines Register.
i think the bill is a good one, but for some reason, Iowa (a conservative state) has a lot of lefties. certainly it will get beaten up quite a bit in the press, if not in the capitol chambers.
we will have to wait and see what happens.
