Is Sarah15 still in business? Extremely important update !!

I think I better wait due to the change. There aren’t too many examples being offered on the new S15 Guns on GB and there’s probably not much traffic due to the change. Hate to see it go for a penny.

I said I’d better wait, not abandon “S15 Guns” until thing’s smooth out. Most of us had no idea what happened to Sara15. Transitions aren’t instant or easy but the results will be worth it for everyone.

Good to hear you're doing OK, Jim.
When your new auctions quit showing up in my email every Monday morning, I started to worry about you. I guess I need to get with the program and follow your new name.

Bruce

YIKES! I have done business with them in the past, including at least twice last year and had nothing but great service from them. Apparently there’s some changes happening that can frustrate things sometimes, but I feel sure everything will work out. Jim has been a big part of this forum and an officer of the SWCA for a good while too, and was very honorable whenever I dealt with him. I hope you get your situation resolved in a way that makes both parties happy, John! To me, any time lawyers get involved with things it has a tendency to make things more complicated which can be frustrating.

Brewster off Board

I received a phone message from Bill Cross this morning. Rather than face an ethics panel appointed from our Board of Directors, James Brewster resigned from the board effective immediately.

Additionally, another member of our group in good standing reported that GB advised him that they are suspending the Brewsters from selling on their platform. I personally am owed over $30,000 in consignment fees. No disputes - just no payments. SWCA member M is owed $5000. His name and story are on file with our board. Member V is owed about $13,000 . His name and story are on file with our board.

Apparently Brewster never self reported these egregious matters to the board.
Complainants sought 3 things: 1 ) remove Brewster from the board; 2) remove the Brewsters from our organization , and 3) most importantly, stop further harm from being done.
Brewsters “defense “ is that he is being sued by another consigner in Wisconsin state Court, for about $200,000 and has been advised by his attorney not to pay other consigners . Make any sense to you ? No, me either. Hopefully some good member can post a copy of the “ can’t pay you “ letter here for ALL to see.
.
Before I ever heard back from the board or from Brewster, I called the US attorney’s Office in Western Wisconsin. Not to gain advantage, cuz I know I won’t get my money, but to stop a serial scammer.
Plaintiffs name in Wisconsin lawsuit is Lawler and his attorney’s name is Peyton Engel of Madison . Simple case of not paying sales proceeds to the consigner. I will be reaching out to him.
At this point, the evidence is in possession of our board, for a hearing that won’t be necessary .
If you are owed money by Brewster on pure consignment deals, pls lay out info below or send me a private PM. I’m not promising to help you personally, I want people who make charging decisions to have a head count. Dave

Well a simple check just now disputes that.

S15 Guns and Sara15 East are still active on GB. Looks like Sara15 East, (DBA LTD Outdoors,) is now helping with woodlawn boys offerings judging by the images.

I’m sorry to say

I too am having a serious issue with sarah15. I am owed $5000. It is now 6 months with no payment. Sara15 sold my guns on GB in Aug of 2024. I received a letter from sarah15 in December 2024. See below.

I had thought I was the only one that had this issue with Sara15.

Once this issue surfaced here on the forum and I realized the growing scope of this matter, and that there is a real possibility other members of this forum may be harmed financially I commented.

I have reported to GB. GB replied that they are aware of the situation with this seller and are taking action. However GB could do nothing to assist in resolving my case.

Yes I see they are currently active

GB did reply back to me that they were taking steps to remove seller until matters resolved but evidently they have not at this point.

Hi,I believe that assumption is correct! Also sounds like a Ponzi scheme. The Bernie Madoff of Gunbroker.I also contacted GB,they are slow to react 4 days ago.Brewster owes me almost $7000.for 6 items sold ,auction ended 11/3/24.Three days ago he said what are you going to do that there is a risk involved. This was PLANNED ,much, much money than I thought. He did not want any of us communicating.Sounds like he paid out NOTHING after my auction ended. He told me a few days ago it is a civil matter.Sounds like a CRIMINAL CASE.Maybe just changed to aLLC,that is after the fact.We need to make this as public as possible to find out how many more victims there are. I may be contacted John Messick. 816-695-5855 phone or text. Email. [email protected]

Just wanted chime in here as someone who was affected by this situation.

On August 17th I was contacted by Sarah15 and they encouraged me to consign some firearms with them as Jim was going to be driving around the country personally picking up other consignee firearms. The incentive would be to save some $ on overnight shipping and insurance to Wisconsin. I have documented that Jim was going to make approximately 10 other stops during that trip.

At the end of August Jim and his son stopped by my house, picked up 14 handguns and 1 long gun, signed a mutual contract for consignment with me, shook my hand, and were off to the next stop.

All but 1 firearm successfully sold by the beginning of October. At that time, per our contract, I should have been paid out within 2 weeks of the new buyer inspection period. I asked them to relist the last gun asap but for weeks it went unlisted. Finally it was listed and I presume sold in late November.

In the beginning of December I got the same notice others received saying that my payout of approximately $11k-12k would not be able to be payed out as it would be viewed as preferential payment due to a lawsuit against Sarah15/Jim. I did my due diligence and found out that suit was filed in Wisconsin Jan 2024.

I’ve been promised that I’d be updated promptly and frequently on the case progress but I’ve had to be proactive in that regard. My legal counsel has been engaged as well as the moderators of this forum. The SWCA board is also aware of the details pertinent to my situation personally. I encourage any other people affected or concerned by this matter to contact the SWCA board and Dave Thinnes the gentleman who started this thread.

Be safe
