I know there has to be others out there like me. I used to shoot quite a bit as a younger person. Then marriage, children, buying a house, paying bills, growing up and all that happened to me. Earlier this year, I found this site!!!!!!!! My shooting and reloading interests quickly came back to me. I also realized that I did not have near enough Smith and Wesson revolvers in my possession. The "For Sale" portion of this forum has become an addiction. :D I am now wondering how I wean myself from having to purchase all of those sweet revolvers I think I need to have??????? My safe shelves are now full. If I get a bigger safe, Ill either have more room or fuller shelves. Someone out there has to have some advice to get myself under control. Is there a Smith and Wesson anonymous section I am missing??? Love this site!!!!!!! :)

Nope.

Don't post here looking for help. All I've found here are enablers... damn enablers.

They'll tell you that you should "go for it" on your next purchase, then they'll post pictures of their revolver collections that dwarf your own, and they'll point out all the ones that you are missing.

It's awful here!
My advice? Stick around and enjoy the ride, there's always room for one more of us. :D :D

Welcome aboard.

I'll just repeat what I said in another post on another thread:

"One of us, one of us!"

:cool::D;)

There is no cure, only treatment.

I'm sorry to be the one to have to tell you this stevo but, we're those people your mother warned you about.:cool:

I'm doomed for certain!!!!!!!! There is a positive to all of your input though, thinking seriously about showing all of these posts to my wife, hoping she will then understand that I am not alone. Once you all have convinced her that there is no cure, I'll be off the hook right??????? Love that safe with the drawers full of Smiths!!!!!! I now have a new goal.

Why in heavens name do you want a cure?

Just go with the flow :D

I am here to let you know there is a cure! It is VERY painful. What you have to do is sell all of your S&W revolvers at half of what you paid. The reason for this is now you have no money to get back into such foolishness.
I am going to offer you help if you happen to have a Model 610 w/4" bbl.
One question. Why do you want to get cured?
Dave

You come to the Smith and Wesson site and ask if there is a cure? Would we be here if there was a cure? Actually the "cure" may be way worse than the affliction. I have gotten to the point where I list my guns on a personal financial statement as the value of them is a significant part of my total value. I have no money and I am looking at buying a S&W Registered magnum. (hint, those aren't cheap).

Why would you want a cure? What other hobby can you enjoy this much and then get your $ back on any of your collection whenever you want?

That's what I tell my wife anyway. She certainly isn't getting her money back on all those bags!
