Is today,. St. Patrick's Day, a Postal holiday? Will they deliver mail? Will post offices be open?

Only the ones that are sober will be working.:D

Today, Cinco de Mayo and Halloween, the banks and post offices will be open. They will be closed on Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's day tho.

If my postmaster from Cork can make it to work today, all the Irishmen-for-a-day don't have a leg on which to stand.

You mean they still deliver? Im still waiting for my requested College transcripts to arrive that I ordered a copy of back in July 1994.

Just kidding--if your expecting junk mail? yep-they will be around to stuff your mail box full.

What's green and sits in my yard?

PADDY O'FURNITURE!:D

Well, do you know what's green and sits in my yard?

Mules and horses are wonderful animals. To them, everyday is St. Patrick's Day.:D

I appears as if many postal employees think everyday is a holiday.

I thought about something similar--such as the Pony Express mail delivery being the better faster one, but refuse to say that at all. :D

Yup--you guessed it--all I got was junk mail today--better than more bills I reckon?

Except in Suffolk County, MA. Where is not St. Patrick's Day, but it is Evacuation Day. Which coincidentally falls on the same day as St. Patrick's Day every year.

In Suffolk County it is a holiday and local, state, and federal offices are closed. I seem to remember that federal employees also get the holiday if they work Suffolk County.

Suffolk County is, also by coincidence no doubt, where Boston is located.

Judging by the traffic, I suspect a lot of schools here had a "training day".
